DATES 
The 2008 Los Angeles Religious Education Congress dates are:
     •  February 28, 2008 (Youth Day)
     •  February 29 - March 2, 2008 (Congress days)

LOCATION
Congress is held at the Anaheim Convention Center, located at 800 West Katella Ave. in Anaheim, Calif. (just across from Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure).

FEE
The registration fee for Congress is $60. ($70 after January 5, 2008 deadline.)
 
3 WAYS TO REGISTER
The Registration Guidebook lists all speakers and workshops. If you did not attend last year, add your name to the mailing list to order it by mail. NOTE: If you registered for Congress 2007, you will automatically be mailed a Guidebook.

REGISTRATION REMINDER

Registration fees increase
on January 5, 2008. If you haven't already signed up for Congress, be sure to register online (by credit card) or get your mailed registration postmarked before then to benefit from the lower rate. Note that Youth Day and Congress have two separate fees and two separate registration forms. 
 
Youth Day fees are $20 per person ($25 after January 5).
Congress days are $60 per person ($70 after January 5).

CONGRESS SPEAKERS
 
KEYNOTE ADDRESS
Saturday, March 1 - 8:30 a.m.
Rev. Robert Barron is our Saturday morning Keynote, presenting: "The Religious Educator as Evangelizer: A True Mission in Changing Times."
Chicago-native Fr. Robert Barron first served the Chicago Archdiocese as Associate Pastor at St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge, Ill. Since then, he has served as Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of St. Mary of the Lake-Mundelein Seminary, located outside of Chicago. His numerous articles on theology and spirituality have appeared in a variety of journals.
SUNDAY ADDRESS (English)
Sunday, March 2 - 8:30 a.m.
Mike Patin will present the Sunday morning Address in English, entitled: “The Passion Epidemic.”
Since 2003 Mike Patin has worked full time as a speaker and “faith horticulturist,” speaking to youth, adult and family audiences in diocesan, regional, national and international settings. He has worked with teenagers and adults in a variety of settings, and is a faculty member at the Notre Dame Graduate School of Theology in New Orleans, and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry.

Liturgy change.
The scheduled Friday 5:15 p.m. Vietnamese Liturgy has been moved to Saturday at 5:15 p.m.

DISNEYLAND RESORT TICKETS

Are you scheduling in a little time
before or after Congress for a trip to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure? Congress attendees may again pre-order specially priced one-day and multi-day park admission tickets. Weekday park hours the week of and after Congress are:
Disney California Adventure, 10:00 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Disneyland, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
 
Pre-arrival purchase offerings include: One-Day/One Park -- Admission to either park for one day; Park Hopper -- Admission and ability to visit both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on the same day. Park Hopper tickets are also available in 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-day tickets; and Twilight Convention Ticket -- Admission valid for one visit to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure after 4 p.m. (or 4 hours before park closing, whichever is earlier). Note: These tickets are not all available at the theme parks and must be ordered by February 11, 2008.
