This day-long event for high school youth is an opportunity for students from throughout the western states – to come together and share in Liturgy, workshops, entertainment and experience the energy of the Closing Rally.

Join us Friday morning at the Tech Center as Los Angeles Archbishop José Gomez conducts a live online chat session with students from  St. Columbkille in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. This will be the Archbishop's fourth annual live, online chat from Congress with school students.

FILM SHOWCASE 2014

This year’s Film Showcase, in partnership with Loyola Marymount University, presents excerpts from a number of narrative feature films, shorts, documentaries, experimental and animated films, whose thematic elements are grounded in Catholic social teaching, justice, ministry, spirituality and theology. Filmmakers will be present to meet with audience members.

SACRED ILLUMINATIONS 2014

Returning to Congress 2014 is Sacred Illuminations, a mystical choreography of light and sound. The evening's event incorporates the newest liturgical and fine art photography with reflections by Sister Rose Marie Tulacz, SND. Light a candle. Receive God's Word. Reflect and pray. Be still. Deepen hope. Be loved.

YOUNG ADULT EVENTS @ CONGRESS
LITURGY - Saturday, March 15, 5:15 pm
Our presider is Fr. Gregory Boyle, with music led by Jesse Manibusan.
DANCE - Saturday March 15,
9-12 midnight Marriott
Cost: $7 per person
This annual Congress tradition is a chance to meet new friends and reconnect with old. All young adults 18 to 39 are welcome. ID required for admission

ART EXHIBIT
Friday through Sunday – Grand Arena Lobby
Our art exhibit features works of artist Karen Schmidt. Much of the imagery in Karen’s work is derived from the biblical narrative. Her work is installed across America, and her studio in Anaheim, Calif., serves as a center to connect and support local artists.

Take a respite from the day’s events and enter a space dedicated to facilitating a sense of spiritual rejuvenation. Our Sacred Space will offer Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a labyrinth, art and music. View the Stations of the Cross art by Pamela Hoffmeister and artifacts of those who cross the Arizona-Mexico border collected by Deborah McCullough.

Authors and performing artists appearing at Congress have scheduled times to sign their books and CDs at the Signing Area. The tables are located in the southeast corner of Hall A. Check the posted schedule for any updates to table number or appearance times.

BUSTED HALO LIVE
Friday and Saturday, noon-3 pm – Hall A
Come watch SiriusXM Radio's "The Busted Halo Show" as it broadcasts live from Congress. Join in the fun with host Fr. David Dwyer and his team as they interview speakers and entertainers appearing at Congress 2014. The Busted Halo Show airs Monday through Friday, from 7 pm to 10 pm Eastern time on SiriusXM Satellite Radio channel 129. 

LIVE RADIO BROADCASTS
Friday through Sunday – Hall A
Guadalupe Radio (87.7 FM) will be broadcasting from the Congress. El Sembrador Spanish television will rebroadcast the Closing Liturgy and will also record all Spanish workshops in Hall B for a television special to be broadcast later in the year.

CHARGING STATIONS
Friday through Sunday – Arena Lobby & Hall A
This year, Congress will have two charging stations: Plug your charger into the Charging Station to recharge your portables. The Charging Stations will be located in the Arena Lobby (just outside of Hall A) and on the southeast side of the Exhibit Hall (Hall A), near the Book Signing tables. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is sponsoring the charging stations this year.

Don’t leave Congress without getting your Congress logo-ed souvenirs. We have an annual offering of pens, pins and magnets. And look for the Congress 2014 logowear in Hall A.

CHAIR MASSAGE
Friday through Sunday – Convention Prefunction Area
Take a break from the bustle of Congress and rest and renew your body. Visit the Chair Massage area in the Prefuction Lobby of Hall A. The cost is $1 per minute.

AA MEETING
Friday through Sunday (lunchtime) – Marriott San Diego
Join with other Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) men and women to share experiences, strengths and hopes with mutual support for recovery from alcoholism. (Located in the Marriott’s lower level.)
