The annual Religious Education Congress held in Anaheim, Calif., is ready to enrich and revitalize us once more. Sponsored by the Office of Religious Education at the Los Angeles Archdiocese, Congress draws in excess of 40,000 participants over the course of this internationally acclaimed four-day event. The annual Youth Day draws over 15,000 youth from across Southern California and beyond. Congress’ international presence continues to grow, with participants attending from over 14 different countries. This year there will be more than 306 workshops available to choose from, covering a vast range of topics and interests from spirituality and personal development to biblical studies, theology and catechesis. This year the Congress is scheduled for February 26 (Youth Day) and February 27 through March 1, 2009, with the theme “Love Unfolding...Igniting Our Yes!” Over the weekend participants will enjoy morning praise, workshops, evening liturgies and a variety of prayer experiences with internationally renowned leaders in the areas of liturgical music and worship. Noontime and evening concerts offer additional opportunities for praise and worship – delightful experiences which engage and renew participants!

El Congreso anual de Educación Religiosa en Anaheim, Calif., está próximo para renovarnos y nutrirnos una vez más. El Congreso reúne a más de 40,000 participantes durante los cuatro días de este evento, el cual es reconocido internacionalmente y auspiciado por la Oficina de Educación Religiosa de la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles. El Día anual de la Juventud reúne a 15,000 jóvenes del sur de California y otras partes. Dicho evento cuenta con la presencia de participantes provenientes de más de 14 países. Este año habrá más de 306 talleres a elegir, con temas e intereses que comprenden desde espiritualidad y desarrollo personal, hasta estudio bíblico, teología y catequesis. Esta vez el Congreso se llevará a cabo los días 26 de febrero (Día de Jovenes) al 1 de marzo del 2009 con el tema “Amor Revelador...Encendiendo Nuestro ¡Sí!” Durante el fin de semana los participantes podrán disfrutar de diversos talleres, oraciones de la mañana, liturgias vespertinas y una diversidad de experiencias de oración dirigidas por líderes internacionalmente conocidos en las áreas de música litúrgica y culto. Los conciertos del medio día y los de la noche ofrecen oportunidades adicionales de alabanza y culto – encantadoras experiencias que comprometen y renuevan a los participantes.
