Religious Education Congress | Media Access & Requirements

  • Media credentials are reserved for working members of accredited media organizations only.
     

  • Media credential applicants must provide a verifiable letter of assignment from an accredited media outlet or Diocese. Letter must include the following:

    • Application date, letter headed of publication or outlet, signed by the head of the news organization in JPEG or PDF format;
       

    • Specific function or position of the journalist or reporter and the assigned task;
       

    • Specify that the journalist or media operator is committed to respect the ethical norms of journalism.
       

  • Credentials will not be granted to non-editorial media professionals.
     

  • Media outlets are limited to two (2) credentials per news outlet, inclusive of writers, photographers and production crew.
     

  • In some cases, we may request additional verification about your past work or coverage plans. Those who have covered REC in the past may be asked to show coverage they produced as a result of press access.
     

  • Recording or filming of any workshop is not permitted.
     

  • A history of being registered at previous events does not guarantee approval for media credentials.
     

  • Applications may take up to two weeks to process.
