Meet ORE Director Sr. Rosalia Meza
Sr. Rosalia Meza is the new Director
for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Office of Religious Education (ORE). She is also a member of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity (VDMF), a community that promotes education for all –- especially for women.
The accomplished educator is originally from Mexico,
though her family was not particularly religious or pious. Her call to religious life was because “God found me and won me over," she says.
As an educator, one of her priorities in the Archdiocese is to promote the leadership of young people through ongoing training, accompaniment and perseverance.
"I studied education in Mexico with the Jesuits. I was a director of education and I was in charge of training people and analyzing business processes. Because of that work, I traveled greatly
...," says Sister Rosalia.

Looking Back 40 Years ... at 1980
The Program Book from
"Religious Education
Congress 80" with the theme
"Family Together in His
Love" held March 6-9, 1980
at the Anaheim Convention
Center.
ARCHDIOCESE OF LOS ANGELES
1531 WEST NINTH STREET
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90015
February 4th, 1980
Dear friends:
The Religious Education Congress is with us again. Thanks be to God! More than on any other occasion we come together as God's family for a time of growth in grace and wisdom, and togetherness. May all of the gracious elements of family life, as we know them in our own experience, be found here in a wider sense.
The Archbishop of Los Angeles and the Bishop of Orange
— fathers of their respective religious families
— are grateful for this occasion to salute and bless all those who come.
We are a religious family. We preserve our past traditions and pass them on through instruction and worship, while we resist al1 the forces that threaten the security and integrity of our belief and love.
May the good Lord keep us all "in the hollow of His hand."
Very sincerely yours,
Timothy Cardinal Manning
