RECongress 2020 (#21)

RECongress 2020 Is Finally Here!

Our 2020 Los Angeles Religious Education Congress is here. We are expecting some good weather for our event. And in the midst of concerns about the coronavirus, we encourage participants to take precaution in this matter by bringing a face mask, if necessary, as well as their own hand sanitizer. The Convention Center also has strategically placed hand sanitizer stations. Here are some other last-minute updates and reminders for Anaheim.

Sacred Space in ACC North

Sacred Space will highlight faith communities that respond with acts born out of compassion, reigniting the hope the world is aching for! In the quiet of this space, God’s invitation awaits to reveal your way to live mercy and be holy. Spend some time in a quiet place, in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation or experience the ancient practice of walking the labyrinth. Sacred Space is located on the lower level in ACC North. Our Chapel and the Labyrinth are located in North 151; the Sacrament of Reconciliation is available in North 153 & 156.

Saving Seats at RECongress

It is permissible to save seats up to 10 minutes before a scheduled workshop, liturgy or concert begins. After that time, we ask that, in Christian love, you release these seats for others. If any RECongress volunteer requests that you release seats that you are saving, please comply with the direction given.

Our “5-minute rule” allows attendees to take any available seat in a workshop — even those they are not ticketed for — 5 minutes prior to the session start time. There is usually a line near the door for people with tickets to another workshop.
