Taizé Service
Music by David Anderson
David Anderson is
Editor-at-Large at GIA
Publications and serves as
Director of Music and Organist
at Ascension Parish in Oak Park,
Ill. He is a well-known speaker
at many national conferences, is
frequently asked to prepare the

conferences, and for retreats.
For over 18 years on the first

Some Hotel Tips
With you in mind, the Religious Education Congress has contracted with
certain hotels in the Convention
Center area that offer a variety
of pricing and room types which
should meet everyone’s needs.
Please pay special attention to
the amenities offered -- some
properties offer free breakfast
options and several hotels offer
suites that can house up to 6
people -- that can add even
greater value to your stay. We
look forward to your presence
with us at the Religious
Education Congress 2019.

A Look Back ... at
1969
Welcome to the 1969 Los Angeles
Archdiocesan Confraternity
Congress [held at the
International Hotel near LAX]!
To make your participation both
enjoyable and beneficial, we
have tried to anticipate most of
the questions that may arise,
and provide "the answers" in
this program. Please keep the
program with you throughout the
Congress for easy reference.
PARKING:
All who live at the hotel during
the Congress will park free. All
others should have parking
tickets validated at our C.C.D.
registration desk, thereby
providing a discount for each
day's parking. Self parking, 50
cents; valet parking, $1.00.
GENERAL
ASSEMBLIES:
In addition to the (workshop)
sessions of your choice, you — and all Congress participants
—
should attend the General
Assemblies that will be held in
the Hotel Ballroom. You do NOT
need a special ticket to attend
these Assemblies.
RESTAURANT FACILITIES:
Within the International Hotel,
Congress participants will find
two
excellent restaurants: the Hunt
Room on the first floor, and the
Penthouse Restaurant. Both offer
good food. In addition, the
hotel
also has a splendid Coffee Shop
that serves full meals as well
as
snacks.
